Speak out [[paying]] attention ~~

Speak out paying attention to the intonation.

The sentence above is not very familiar to me.

Is there anything omitted? (speak out while you pay attention ~~?????)

moon7296 speak out while you pay attention Yes. That's the general idea, but in reverse: Pay attention [while/when/as] you speak out. Speak out -- and as you do so, pay attention to the intonation.

Thank you for a nice and quick answer.

Then, speak out paying attention ~~ is more likely to used in spoken language? (because it's natural? or shorter?)

Well, since the sentence asks someone to speak, I suppose it only makes sense in the context of spoken language, but similar imperatives can be found quite often in written texts. It's natural and it's shorter, but that has nothing to do with its frequent use in both speech
