I feel even bashful to ask how to express this simple thing.
If I were to meet, for example, a Russian and he, all of sudden, would speak English to me, how should I express the highlighted part of sentence in natural English?
He spoke English to me. He talked to me in English. He addressed me in English. I am at a loss. Could you please help me?
Thanks a lot in advance.
