Spaces Between Initials

•Do we correctly insert a single space between a person’s initials when there are only two letters involved? eg J. P. Morgan / H. J. Taylor

•But when there are three letters representing a person’s initials, we do not use spaces. eg F.D.R. / J.F.K.

•And we omit the space between initials of a company name. eg E.F. Hutton / J.C. Penney

Are these correct?

Thanks.

You try to do names the way the person does them. One space between initials is good. The three initials you mention are the whole name, so the spaces are unnecessary, but look at W.

This is a matter of typographic style, so there is no one right answer for everyone at all times, but I like
