South America Trip

Matthewq is planning a trip around South America.

It would be interesting to know from any South Americans in the Forums what places they would recommend to see and do in their country.
Maybe they could mention the highlights and things not to be missed as well as things that are not worth seeing.
Also if there are any people out there who have travelled through South America that have any recommendations for him.

Your comments would be interesting.

I have travelled through Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. The whole Patagonia is impressive, the Argentine and the Chilean, but I consider that the National Park of Glaciers in Argentina, and the Region of Lakes in Chile should be "compulsory" visit. I'd recommend too the trips starting from Ushuaia along the Beagle Channel.
