If you used information from a book or books, then it/they is the source of your information.

P.S. Resource is something/someone that you, other people, organizations, countries... can use.

The way you look at it determines if you have to use source or resource.

In case of your example, source fits best. You have to list all your sources at the end of your paper.

You use source to describe a thing from which you get something , but if you are talking about a physical book rather than a concept of a book, resource should be used.

Onset, origin and source can be synonymous in one context and different in the other. It highly depends on the context.
