Do you mean that the writer has been very considerate to the speaker? Or, that I lot of thought has gone into writing a piece of text?

I mean that the writer put original ideas that came up after so much research and study... what about the "I'm not surprised" part? thanks again.

I would say "that I'm not surprised you have put a lot of thought and effort into your writing" or "it is evident that a lot of thought and effort has gone into your writing, although I'm not surprised by this.
