Sounds odd. how do you write this?

I can't put my finger on it but there is somethig odd to this sentence. How will you write this ?

I like helping you without you having to ask. I hate when you ask for help.

It is OK. I would use 'your' in the first sentence and insert 'it' in the 2nd sentence.
