Peter Sellers released an LP in 1964 called How To Win An Election (or not lose by much). The opening track on side one is called "Soundbites".
I've never heard the track, so I don't know the context of the title. Was the term "soundbites" (or "sound bites") used in England (in its present sense) more than 35 years ago? I never heard the term until the 80s.
