Soulless v s impersonal

Hi.
How does impesonal differ from soulless? I cane to:
Industrialism entailed a massive increase in harnessing nature, whether through power stations, public health, or pharmaceuticals. Having tamed nature, not least through greatly extending the life span, post-industrialism has become preoccupied with minimising the risks posed to humans caused by their conquest of nature (Beck 1992). Such preoccupations include identifying and reducing global warming, figuring out how to manage extended old age, and
humanising the soul-less impersonal dying often experienced in technically efficient modern hospitals

Thanks in advance

Hi 'Soulless' is difficult. For people with a religious belief, the soul may refer to a person's relation with the afterlife; or it may refer to their relation with the universe as a whole. For people without religious belief, it may refer to the unique and good qualities that a person has, such as generosity, bravery, kindness and so on.

Hi

That's interesting. If a person is a strict materialist, if they believe that there is nothing but atoms and energy then, yes, they live away from otherworldliness and their world is soulless. It's an unusual and interesting way of putting it, but your sentence is correct

My personal feeling is that very few people can maintain that point of view. 'Soulless' is almost alway
