so(too) + adjective + a noun

1. The age difference is not so big a deal.
2. The age difference is not a so big deal.
3. He'd chosen too dark a color.
4. He'd chosen a too dark color.

5. As most of us would, she doubts her ability to fulfill so difficult an assignment.
6. As most of us would, she doubts her ability to fulfill an assignment that is so difficult.

Q1) Do #2 and #4 sound okay just like #1 and #3?

Q2) The sentence #6 sounds okay, doesn't it? This sentence structure is very familiar to me when #5 is not. Is #5 just as natural as #6?
