The subjects of conversation are not so numerous that one can neglect an opportunity of adding to one's store.

This makes sense to me, Taka.

'The subjects of conversation are not/ numerous to the extent that/ one can neglect an opportunity of adding to one's store.'

'Subjects are not/ numerous enough / to stop collecting new ones.'
