sort (out) by joining time

Hi,

Suppose we have a list of people who are members of a certain community.
Suppose we need to sort out these people in the list depending on the date/time they joined the community.

Version 1: people sorted by joining time
Version 2: people sorted by time of joining

Which of the versions is ok?

Thank you!

  • Both structures in bold are OK.
  • I'd say eg A list of people sorted by the date and time they joined.

It seems to me that you have a list of members ordered by enrollment date.
