Sore or a sore

Hello everyone, I found this in a grammar book

I've been walking for three hours. I've got sore feet.
I don't feel very well this morning. I've got a sore throut.

So what's the difference??? Why in the second one an "a" appears???

No, Victor. 'A' is used only with singular nouns.
