When some one says "I have got sore eyes" does it mean that his / her eyes turned red and pricks? Thanks

Thanks Optilang for the link.

I know sore eyes can be caused by a number of reasons. I just wanted to know if eye sore generally implies red eyes and itches ("*****" was a wrong word?). From Clive's post, I understand that that does not necessarily mean so. Am I right, Clive?

Hi,
Yes.
If you punch me in the eye, I'll have a sore eye.

Don't worry, Clive, I am not going to punch you even if you don't answer my questions directly. Emotion: smile
