In this essay I outline my academic and extracurricular accomplishments. I'll try to discuss my career objectives and my motivations to pursue the doctoral studies in Electronics.
I started to consolidate different aspects of Electronics during the intensive three year course for Bachelor Degree (Electronics) at Sir Parshurambhau College, ranked in first five colleges under University of Pune, India. Under the caring guidance of some of the best teachers I learnt Electronics beyond the standard text. I attained 1st rank in B.Sc. examination in my college. I have also been awarded by ‘Excellence in Science Award' in my college.
Then I moved on to do M.Sc. (Electronic Science) from Department of Electronics Science, University of Pune, one of the leading universities in the country to pursue my post graduate studies. Here I got in touch with some renowned professors of the country. As time progressed, I found myself drawn towards the higher echelons of Embedded Systems and Processor Architecture studies and realized that the penetration into the inner folds calls for a deep understanding of the subject.
I have completed my Post Graduate (Masters) in Electronics few months back. During my M.Sc., I took various courses in Embedded systems, Communication and also in VLSI. For my M.Sc. project I developed a module to analyze TEM Images of nanoparticle samples using MATLAB 7.6. In this project, different TEM Images of nanoparticle sample were analyzed for finding particle's Size wise Distribution. Different Image Processing Techniques and Artificial Neural Networks were studied and used in this project. This project was done under the guidance of Dr. D.C.Gharpure. I got 1st prize for this project at university level in University of Pune.
Currently I am doing Lectureship in one of the renowned college under University of Pune. I believe that my teaching experience combined with my course work and research oriented mind adds to my strengths. Processor Architecture, FPGA, Sensors, Optoelectronics are few of my research interests. I will prefer my Research career to help me discover different areas of these fields.
After 10 years down the line I see myself fulfilling my dream of being engaged in an active research Institute in my own country. So that I can help a little for my country's journey from ‘developing' to ‘developed country'. To further my career aspirations, I want to obtain a PhD. Degree. I believe obtaining a PhD. Degree will provide the necessary background for me.
As in your Institute, I find that my research topic related needs are being fulfilled. I am very keen to join this program. I am always in search of a free, independent working environment and as per my knowledge your Institute is the best choice for the same. Hope I would not be deprived of your benign consideration and hold a fair chance for an opportunity to be associated with your institute.
Although my study at your university does not thing on getting finical aid, it would be of great help if I get some financial aid, at least in part, it would be immense help, in a way of reducing burden on my parents.
