Sooner or later

Hi,

Can we drop the operator 'will' in a clause (expressing a future action) following the phrase "sooner or later":

Sooner or later they go bust instead of the Sooner or later they will go bust.

Thank you.

Hi, No. Not unless you want to make a general statement, eg His companies never succeed. Sooner or later they (always) go bust.
