Soon-to-be-ex Miranda Kerr

"He may have announced the end of his marriage just last week, but Orlando Bloom says there's nothing but love between he and soon-to-be-ex Miranda Kerr."

Yes, to me it would be an error, but I just wondered if such is becoming more common. Quite often, the common becomes standard.

IMaybe the Post had many complaints and decided to change it to placate them.
