Song for U.S.A

There's a song called "Song for U.S.A" in Japan, and I have read a piece of writing by an american about Japanese indifference to the articles, that complains, "U.S.A" should be "the U.S.A".

But as a title "Song for U.S.A" looks good enough to me. It's a title, you can omit "a" or "the" as you like, can't you?

Thank you,
M

A" looks good enough to me. It's a title, you can omit "a" or "the" as you like, can't you? You may do as you like if you are naming the song youself, but it is still not natural English.

OK, so "the" for the U.S.A is required even in a title.

Thank you!
