Song

This is a line from a song lyric:
If it wasn't for chip fat, well they'd be frozen
They're not very sensible

Can somebody tell me what it means. I am a new learner and I have great interest in english!!

Ooh the song of my summer last year... I predict a riot! This part is talking about girls in unseasonably scanty clothes - if you go to a UK 'clubby' area in the evening you'll see loads of girls out and about wearing very little even in the middle of winter.

  • It means that they eat a lot of chips as well (potato pieces deep fried) so presumably the body fat adds to their insulation!
