The other day, I read a piece of newspaper about the story of the return of a prodigal son, who had been a son of aggressive disobedience to his parents. To give him a rigorously control, he was dispatched to a sweatshop in Northeast China where it is far away from his native village as soon as he graduated from junior high school. As long as he was indocile or didn’t obey the management rules, then he would suffer beating or lashing. It was purely and simply a gulag. Being unable to bear the harsh discipline of prison-like camp, he had tried to escape the cage but failed. He even had once intended to plunge the river to commit suicide on a frozen and snow-covered land. Fortunately, he survived.
