Sometimes late at night from Julia Wolf

Sometimes late at night

I lie awake and can not sleep

My thoughts rave away

I realize that I sway

Concerning the things I wanted to keep.

Why do they do this to me?

Everybody drives me so mad

All the things I’ve ever had

Seem to dwindle and to flee.

That can not be! That is not life!

I have to stop it anyhow

So I decided here and now

To cut the doubts off with a knife.

I am the winner of the fight!

So I decided now and here

To dream the dream that is so dear

Sometimes late at night.

The dream of my dear life.

I think "Sometimes late at night" expresses the feelings almost everone has just experienced... Those words are what I feel from time to time when thinking about my life and people in it who do not understand

Hi MAJ!

Thank you for improving my poem. But "To live the dream that is so dear" does not fit into the context of "Sometimes late at night". Maybe you should read it once more to understand me, to understand the meaning of my expressions. It did not want to overuse the word "dream". I used it to emphasize the fact, that the poem describes the never ending nightmare of life where the only
