Hi,

Can anyone telll me which one is correct:

I am thinking something on that line.

Or

I am thinking something in that line

They are both correct, but that's probably not really exactly what you want to know.

something in that line was used quite frequently until the late 1940s. Since then, something along those lines has far surpassed it. something on that line has never been used with any frequency.
