Something is upside down. What should I do to make it back to correct position?

Hi,

Something is upside down. What verb or verb phrases should I use to make it back to correct position? For example:
A picture is hung upside down on the wall.
A small child holds a book upside down.
A photo is put upside down on a desk (which means you can't see the things in the photo).

I think it is turn + something, but I am not sure.
Thank you in advance.

"Right side up" is an adjective phrase, not a verb. The closest corresponding verb would be "righten" or "right" (i.e. "to make right-side-up or upright").

Thank you, KrisBlueNZ and Mentee.
These verbs are really useful.
Is 'right side up' appropriate for all the three contexts I gave?

You asked for a verb or verb phrase; RIGHT SIDE UP is an adjective. Also, it is only really appropriate for the photo that is face down, because the front and back of the photo are SIDES. For the picture and the book, the top and bottom are really ENDS, so RIGHT END UP would be more accurate, but it is not an idiomatic phrase and I wouldn't use it. RIGHT WAY UP would be an appropriate adjective ph
