Something is bear noting that...

It is bear noting that the Feuhrer has his legs placed wide apart compared to Hagrid's clamming his legs close, which is wise as this lowers the Feuhrer's center of gravity and helps him balance better.

"bear noting" ???

First of all, I don't think this bear noting is spelled correctly, because when I googled it, there wasn't any results. I heard the term a lot, but I don't know the correct way to spell it, or say it.

Secondly, is this an idiom? what's the correct way/form to use it?

Okay, in Webster's, definition 3-c for "bear" as a verb is " to call for as suitable or essential." The example they have is "it bears watching." So perhaps this isn't a special collocation after all; "it" (the situation, the facts) "calls for suitable" special attention, as bears noting, bears watching, bears repeating.

Hi, Delmobile

You really confirm that it is possible to say "it worths mentioning" ?

I scoured dictionaries for the ferinition of "worth" and they seem unanimous that it is not used as a verb:

Just to clarify -- "It's worth mentioning" is correct English (though often superfluous.) "It worths mentioning" is not correct; "worth" is not a verb. (And "ferinition" is not a noun -- I suspect it's a typo for "definition.")

I'm very sorry, I didn't read your list carefully. No, as Khoff points out, you can't say "it worths."
