Something I saw on the internet

It's a web site for freelancers to "bid" the projects posted by companies/individuals, with each project marked an offering of a certain range.
And then there's this typing project that is looking for freelancers who can work on the documents and files,
below the profile of each freelancer's, there's this section where they listed the offers that are acceptable to them,
and then there's this largely confusing column that says "milestone requested", which is also with a price listed.
Anyone knows what that's supposed to mean?
