Are these sentences correct:

1) Is there anything going on that I can't come to your place?
2) There was something going on that he couldn't come to our place.

Would they be correct if 'that' was replaced by 'such that'?

Would 'so that' work in those sentences as well?

1) Is there anything going on so that I can't come to your place?
2) There was something going on so that he couldn't come to our place.

It doesn't work for me. Use "such that". "So" works in the second.

2) There was something going on so he couldn't come to our place.
