someone's orphan

Hi.
A character in a drama said this line:
'She was a wheelwright's orphan.'

I am confused about who the wheelwright is. Is the person her deceased parent or her adoptive parent? Thank you.

Hi,
We need more context. "Wheelwright" is a person whose job is to fix wheels.

Maybe a child of a wheelwright she was.

We do not know the story!
