Someone who signs a contract

Hi

Is there any general term for a person who signs any contract? For example, a rent contract between a landlord and a tenant?

[Tenant to landlord]

If you had any complaints about the contract, you should have spoken to me and not to Mr. Richard. I am your _________.

Now, I don't want a word tenant here; I want a word that qualifies the tenant as the signer of the contract. Is there one?

Thanks,

Tom

It depends on the contract: lessor/lessee, mortgagor/ mortgagee, franchiser / franchisee... " You can also use the wording that is on the contract.
