I write for an organization that publishes articles in my college. I cover an event and I interview people and made my own research and notes about the event to make my article. After interviewing people I quote their responses. Example: "The event was great it teaches cultural equality and it makes students learn about other cultures and appreciate them." the student said.
However, after the issue was published I realized that my story was written and published by another author. This author change and paraphrase my article really good but he used the quotes of people that I interview. Can I complaint to the organization for plagiarism, since he stole and used all the quotes I gathered from my interviews?

Hi, I'm not a lawyer. I don't know if it would be plagiarism if he just used your quotes. It certainly seems unethical to me.

I think it would be plagiarism if he stole your ideas without saying they are yours.
