Task 2 - Topic: The money spent by government on space programs would be better spent on vital public services such as schools or hospitals.
In twenty first century people are getting more and more close to know about the space outside the earth. However some people are of the opinion that government is wasting money to spend on space programs and that money should be invested on public services namely schools or hospitals for much more benefits. In my opinion,i partially agree with this view point.
First of all, whether spending financial resource on space programs is wasted or not highly depends on the government’s financial situation. If it is a developed country, then spending money on space programs does not mean government has to cut off the budget for other fields such as education system or health care system. However, if it is in the developing countries group, then government should focus more on schools or hospitals by investing more resource on these services.
It is undeniable that investing money to improve the quality of education system and health care system brings plenty of benefits to society. In terms of education system, more money invested by government mean illiteracy rate might be decreased. To be exact, offering tuition -free programs, scholarship programs will allow children from the poor family to have chance to go to school. Furthermore, a country with majority of population who are high educated has ability to put the economy up. In terms of health care system, it is clear that facilities at hospital will be improved, new treatment methods will be applied if hospitals have enough financial aid from government. As the result of this, it is hopefully standard of life is improved.
In conclusion, government should highly consider their budget before spending it on either space programs or on vital public services.
