Interconnect with Tier1 Providers, The Current Drawbacks ! !:
Greetings Telco Partners : Its really difficult to start an interconnection with tier1 operators located in Asian regions because of the following reasons: *************************************************************************************************** [A] Tier1 has already interconnected with another tier1 operator globally. And most of the telecom market has been dominated by big operators already.
Tier1 carriers really don't care about the prices it does not matter either they buy or sale their routes which is pretty much higher than the general market price. Tier2 or medium size VOIP providers always need to compromise if they want to get connected with tier1.
[C] If you are enough lucky and once you got a chance to trade routes with tier1 carriers you have to face plenty of hassles like your company portfolio, credit and trade references, bank guaranty, or performance bid amount, these things are hard.
So If we don't get the quality routes we will lose our clients. If we want to get the quality routes we have to compromise the prices, (which we cant trade in markets).
Now considering the points above what do you think how is it possible to develop a smooth relationship with tier1 carriers, so that we should not compromise the price and quality both.
