Essay & Composition Writing

Someone please correct my essay

this essay is about my Writing style. I'm aware that I always have many errors in my writing, but I can never find then. Please help.

My name is Lawrence Gerard Greene and I like to create things. I am the youngest out of seven children and I am very grateful because I get a lot of writing material from examining their unique personalities and lifestyles. I see my life as a constant journey of self-discovery, but for now lets explore a more specific part of my life. My writing style.

At the beginning of this writing class I thought of it as a very fortunate turn of events because I never get to write because school keeps me very busy, so I jumped at the chance to take the class. I told my self I would stay on track and get all my assignments in in and organized time frame, which I started off doing, but it didn't exactly go as planned. Schoolwork was piling up, studying for regents, and your typical high school dram all contributed to a period in time where I didn't work on my writing class. I discovered that I have quite a knack for poetry yet I still can't bring myself to appreciate it. Even if it is my own.

A writers writing style is something more than simply how a they write. It symbolizes their past experiences, their personality, and even their beliefs. A persons writing style is something that is unique to every individual no matter how slight it may be. In the multimedia portion of the course I overcame my fear of using myself in my own media, but I got the assignment in a little late.

I like to describe my writing style as one that likes to warp reality. I like to form my own reality into a place that a certain group of people can relate to and get maybe a laugh or two out of it while still engaging in something somewhat serious, if that's the kind of vibe I'm trying to create. Usually I try not to write about things that seem similar to tings I have wrote about before, that's why I write depending on my mood and surroundings, or even a particular song I have come to admire. My writing style relies heavily on inspiration, which is normal for most people, but I need more than something interesting to happen. In some cases I need something bland- an inanimate object that I don't like and make it into something I do like by adding on ridiculous things such as missile launchers on a water bottle.

It seems like I always tend to make punctuational errors that I don't notice. This is probably because I tend not to look over my work thoroughly enough, or at all because of my confidence in the content and not so much the small errors in the piece. This is a major issue in my writing that I can only solve by working on it, or by having other correct my work for me. I find this to be a coincidence, because if I were to ever become a write I would like to have people co-write with me or for me because there are times where I cannot sit still and write something. This may be because of lack of motivation or laziness and whether that is only because I'm teen, or not is up to speculation.

Fiction writing is my personal favorite and during the fiction/short story section of this unit I felt like I don't as much useful dialog as I could. Despite this, I feel like I have really grown as a writer because I used to write blindly without looking at all the things I could do to make it better, but now I feel as if my potential has slowly began to become unlocked because I have come to the realization that there is more to writing besides “Writing”.

In the future I would like to set the goal of publishing at least one book as a way to test myself and see if writing is the right medium for me to express my creativity. If not, I'll most likely move onto another medium while still keeping that writers wit in all of my creations. I have learned a lot during this unit and My style was was really put to the test and I found that my style is not only for writing, but for creating.
