Someone please check my letter

Hello every one, can someone please correct my letter.. its the first time that im applying for internship... please check if there is any problem with this letter.., if so can someone please write one for me????? its urgent... i have no work experience, and i havent done anu internship anywhere, its my first time. and also should i specify which department im willing to work? i can work in any of these department accounting, finance, audit and tax..

I, ***, currently in my second year at University of **** , would like to apply for a 2 month internship starting in June 2013 for a post in any suitable department of your reputed company.

I am currently pursuing a degree in accounting and I need practical training of at least four months as pre-requirement for this degree. At our university we understand the importance of gaining practical knowledge which will complement the textbook classroom knowledge and help the students gain a wider perspective of the subjects.

During this course, I have found that I am comfortable both working within a team environment and on individual tasks. Laden with textbook knowledge, I wish to now implement the skills that I have learned in the real world. I want to prove to myself that I have truly been benefited by this education.

Completing an internship would give me an excellent insight into your company and be an outstanding opportunity for me to explore different working methods and practice the knowledge I gained at the university.
