Foreign visitors should pay more than local visitors for cultural and historical
attractions. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion

It is argued that foreign tourists should pay higher for goods in cultural or historical sites than the residents do. I completely disagree with this statement.

on the one hand, any country could benefits enormously when more foreign tourists visit that country. the first aspect that takes benefit most is the economy. Foreign tourists are usually willing to spend money on a wide range of goods which are appealing and unique. The residents, therefore, could earn more profits and pay more taxes. the more taxes the residents pay, the more revenue the government has to spend on not only infrastructure, education but also health care as well as military. The second Advantage is that the nation image would be enhanced dramatically. If tourists from abroad come to a country and they are treated by honesty, hospitality, and most importantly the equality, the reputation of that country would increase considerately. As a result, this will end up attracting more visitors as well as investors who desire to expand their business in promising countries.

On the other hand, there are some negative impacts, if a country charges foreign tourists unequally as the local residents charged. firstly, when foreign comers visit cultural or traditional attractions like museums, temples,... and they charge of souvenirs or accommodation with high prices, it makes them hesitated to spend money. It leads to the turnover of these sites getting low. Secondly, if a nation publishes that policy, it certainly makes visitors from overseas consider the other options, specifically other tourist destinations in other countries. Consequently, the rival countries in terms of tourism would take advantage of this chance to emerge.

in conclusion, I do believe that foreigners who come to a region to travel must be charged equally as the local inhabitants and it would be a winning scenario after all.
