Top answer

I want to play tennis with my father one day. 'One day' could be sometime this week or off in the distant future. " Using the word 'someday' at the end of the sentence makes me feel that you really want to play tennis with your dad, but perhaps he is too busy.

If it is going to be soon that you want to play tennis, you could say something like 'one day next week.' For the future you could say either one and they mean the same thing, "One day/someday I'm going to be a professional tennis player just like my father."
