thanks.. a respond for a short story called "A Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe

In a short story “A Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe, the author creates a suspenseful first person narrator view point. He also introduces to us an unstable narrator who is clearly mentally ill trying to prove he is not mad. The narrator is unexpected and full of self doubt. He cold-bloodedly slaughters an old man because he fears the old man’s pale blue eye. The old man’s pale blue eye represents the conscience of the narrator. The eye watches him because it knows that he is up to something, therefore the narrator is haunted by it. Instead of trying to make up his desire with what his conscience knows is right, he chooses to destroy it. Poe brings to us the psychology behind a mad man’s mind. Although the narrator sounds like he is mad, there is still consciousness within him. He knows what he is doing, but his will is too weak to prevent his madness.
