It's understandable, but I would say it more naturally like this:

I regret having eaten so much chocolate in the past because it has caused my teeth to decay.

upkept isn't a word, or at least I've never heard of it.

Your teeth look good. / You've taken good care of your teeth.

No. The expression is My mother has false teeth.

The term dental prosthesis is more likely to appear in a scientific article in a journal of dentistry.
