Some traction at that price meaning?

Hi,

What is the meaning of finding some traction at that price in the following text?

Krane bottomed at $18 a share, then began a rather feeble rally. It nibbled around $20 a share for half an hour before finding some traction at that price.

Does it mean that after an hour of fluctuations it was stabilized at that price?

Thanks
