Some time

Hi,

He'll stay here for some time.
Can I omit 'for' as in
He'll stay here some time.

('some time' refers to a period of time here)

Thank you.

Hi Clive,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Do you mean 'some time' could mean a long period of time or a short period of time?
Does 'for a while' mean the same as 'for a little time'?
