Some questions

1)The two owners were divided____ the issue of whether to hire a new secretary or not

a) on

b) by

c) into

The answer is a but I don't know why it's not b

or "Yes I know", said Claira

?


3)In the SAT, are we allowed to work on the previous section? ( I mean, we are to do section 9 but come back to section 8 or 7 to check the answer), is it possible?

  • You need a period at the end, and a comma after 'yes'.

The answer is a but I don't know why it's not b A and B are both possible, although A is more idiomatic. 'Over' is probably the best answer of all.
