some questions

Hi!
I've got some questions, could you answer them?
1. If I want to find out if there are any places available/left on a camp, can I ask: "Are there any free places?"? Wouldn't it sound ambiguous? (free=the ones for which I don't have to pay)
2. Should I say "I'm going to be there one month" or "for one month"?
3. Can the word "extra" mean "super", "great", "wonderful" or only "additional"?
4. Is it correct?: "Could you tell me some infoormation about accommodation"
5. Is it correct?: "Do you maybe know if...?"
6. Can I say: "We have December now" meaning it's December
