Some phrases in a song that I'm writing, are they correct?
Hello everybody, I'm looking for some help here since I'm writing a song in English and there's some sentences that I'm not sure about, let me know if they makes total sense to you.
1.-Now I don't want them close to me... (is it right like that? Or do I use near instead close?)
2.- Like an uncontented dog... (Is that understandable?)
3.- I took a path away from them...
4.- The reasons why I chose this life without them (here I'm talking about some friends I left behind, is it understandable 'this life without them'?)
So, if anybody can help me I would be really thankful.
