Some phrases

1. Is correct to say:


"He was Asian-looking."



Note: I wouldn't llike to say he's Asian, because the person in question spoke American English, so he for sure was an American of Asian descent.





2. And which sounds best:


The former expression, or "he had Asian features".

Yes.

Christine Christie2. And which sounds best: The former expression, or "he had Asian features".

Both work. (2) sounds slightly more technical. In ordinary everyday usage I would probably choose (1).
