With the advent of modern technology, a large number of communication via technology such as computer, cell phone had an influence impact on young people’s reading and writing ability. Nevertheless, I argue that they give the youth the benefit of the doubt.

Firstly, people with modern devices are more likely to install software which can help them to correct grammatical mistakes automatically. By using correction tools like Grammarly, Unikey user can easily to complete what their write without effort. In addition, spending excessive time on smart phone or computer for watching, playing game can cause lack of reading practices for young people. This gradually shape bad habits and aggravate their reading and writing abilities.

On the other hand, I believe that young adults having access to technological devices might improve their reading and writing skills. First of all, user can get an unlimited source of information in the world of advance science and technology. Reading news in the Internet, for instance, are useful for English learners to enrich their vocabulary. Furthermore, beside autocorrect tools, there are many of websites or app, allowing young people to write blogs. Thanks to the development of social networking sites, reader and writer can easily to interact then the writing ability of teenager improve certainly.

In conclusion, communicating via computer and mobile phone have both advantages and disadvantages for the reading and writing skill of young generation. It also depends on the mindset to run our brain in the right direction. I believe that youngster can improve those skills if they use for the right purpose.
