Essay & Composition Writing

Some people think that the best way to reduce the time spent in traveling to work is to replace parks and gardens close to the city center with apartment buildings for commuters, but others disagree. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

In the modern era, members of society suppose that the most appropriate method to lower the time spent in traveling to work is to remove parks and gardens close to the downtown with apartment buildings for commuters is a good notion. However, others do not consent to the statement above. In my perspective, I do not approve of this statement. This essay will discuss both views and state my own opinion.

To begin with, some individuals strongly disagree that they should remain parks and gardens due to various reasons. Firstly, demolishing parks and gardens in favor of flat buildings will be useful for travelers owning to the fact that it will not cost much time for them to move from this place to another place. In addition, it also economize their budget because they do not have to travel far away from their houses and pay a large amount of money if they travel by taxis.

Nevertheless, a myriad of people undoubtedly believes that it will be exceedingly detrimental if they remove gardens and parks. As our society know, “parks and gardens” is quite equivalent to “entertaining places”. If they abandon these places; therefore, local residents will have nowhere to work out and enjoy the fresh air. Furthermore, if they live in an urban area without the presence of parks and gardens; consequently, there are no adequate trees to reduce carbon emissions and exhaust fumes from vehicles. As a result, it will also cause some respiratory diseases for people, especially for the elderly.

In conclusion, some individuals are of the opinion that exchanging parks and gardens with skyscrapers is beneficial for commuters. Though, given how eminently detrimental the absence of parks and gardens is to our ecosystems and society, I would argue that actions are necessary to inhibit it from taking place.
