Some people think that strict punishments for driving offences are key to reducing traffic accidents. Others, however, believe that other measures would be more effective in improving road safety. Discuss both view and give your opinion.

Many people are finding ways to reduce traffic accidents. Some of them think sharp punishments are key, but others believe that there are various methods effectively to be safe on roads. In my opinion, governments and local council should combine both strict punishments and other ways to reduce accidents on roads.

It’s obvious that a lot of people who are using vehicle drive more carefully because of sharp punishments. Moreover, it helps them to avoid mistakes which they repeat the same offenses and it also warns drivers of bad consequences. In fact, governments and local council are applying these punishments in many ways such as impose a fine, keep the license or punish by imprisonment. Because of these punishments, the drivers have to follow the rules and bad driving is reduced as the result.

In spite of the effective punishments, there are many ways to educate people properly about the safety of traffic and the danger of bad driving. The government designed teaching the traffic law in the curriculum at schools as a life skills classes for students to understand the law before they have the license. In addition, the infrastructure is a vital part to design safer roads, so governments should improve roads which are bad or lack equipment supporting drivers such as fix bad road, use sign to warn people and use camera to deter speed. Furthermore, using public transport play a necessary role in building a good environment for drivers. Governments should make good conditions and encourage people using public transport like buses, trains because more people use public transports, fewer traffic jams, and accidents.

In summary, I think that combining strict punishments and other ways could improve awareness of people effectively
