Opponents of global sporting competitions claim that holding these events can take a toll on the environment. Many supporters of different games may visit the home country before watching matches. Some of them who are not eco-conscious will litter intentionally which contributes to pollution. Moreover, after the match ended, there are many of rubbish on their seat, which can be seen clearly. On top of that, upgrading infrastructure is also a drawback because it costs a fortune. The government may build large stadiums or racing circuits due to the demand for splurge.
