It would be argued by some that hosting an international sports event is bad for the country. However, in my opinion, hosting an international sports event is a real good chance.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why some believe that hosting an international sports event is bad. The first reason is, that it can take a lot of money from the state budget to prepare for these events. It may cost a million dollars to upgrade the Nation Stadium. For example, requested to improve the quality of Mi Dinh Nation Stadium, the Vietnamese government spent around 150 billion VND, approximately 44 dollar million. Another reason is, that if the host country makes some mistakes, it will get a worse effect on international tourists. Just a problem can make the host country is judged.

On the other hand, I would argue that being a host country for international sports events is a great chance. The international tourist attraction will be improved, foreigners might get interested in the host country. And, it will bring more benefits to the tourism industry and the economist of the host country. For instance, the Olympic Tokyo, which was held in 2020 in Japan, gained a lot of appreciation from all over the world.

In conclusion, although some people think that being a host country in international sports even is bad. I believe that hosting an international sporting event such as the Olympic games and the football World Cup, and so on, is an excellent chance to build a country's image to the host country.
