While some people believe that human individually can make an improvement, i would contend that without government's intervention, the situation will hardly be tackled.There are some reasons for believing that it is possible for individuals to promote environmental condition. First of all, by introducing minor alternations to day-by-day habits, people can personally alleviate detrimental impacts on nature. An excellent example of this is switching from plastic bags to paper or recyclable ones. This will not only reduce the amount of garbage but also diminish the pollution caused by plastic. Second, individuals can better nature health by improve their adjacent area. For instance, to make a city green, while authorities have to spend a great amount of time and money planting trees for every corner, it is obviously more practical if each person incorporate vegetation to their home.However, i am convinced that governments still play an important role in addressing environmental issues. The first reason is that official agencies are able to implement laws to prevent undesirable effects on the ecosystem. A clear illustration of this is that many regulations has been imposed on industrial manufacturies to limit their discharge and avoid them from harming the nature. The second explantion for my believe is the governments' power to extensively concern people with environmental problems.
