In today's world, some individuals believe that studying history would not bebeneficial for their modern life. However, others people think that historicalstudies will bring a huge source of knowledge to us. I consider that historydoes teach us precious lessons and I will demonstrate my reasons.

On the one hand, it is undeniable thatstudying history plays an important role for pupils because it provides us alot of vidence which is used to prove that humans directly make mistakes forthe sake of their lives. As the faults in the past have been discovered in theprocess of studying history, people may have awareness of wrongdoings and beable to improve their future. For instance, the Germans have been being taughtabout their predecessor’s mistakes long ago. For the specific for a purpose isto they will never make the same mistakes such as the Holocaust which is knownas a Genocide of Nazi Germany aim to Jews that resulted in the deaths ofapproximately 6 million Jews including 3 million men, 2 million women and 1million children.

On the other hand, as can be seen somepeople think it is pointless to learn from the past. Firstly, history is thefield that is rarely used in people’s lives, and therefore, they would ratherpay attention to science or technology than focus on something that bringsno relevant values to the present or future.for example, a myriad of historicallessons from the past did not bring visual results or quick effects as well asscientific researching because of long history contents, it lacks of appealing tomake people absorb in studying . Secondly,the interpretations of historicalevents may vary due to personal views , so there is no guarantee of theaccuracy of information obtained. For instance, if, in many cases, historicaldocuments is falsified, it will cause tremendous damage to people’s culture andreligion.

In conclusion, historical studies bringimportant mental values to people’s life which help them understand each otherand have a cultural tolerance.
